Rotary Resoluntion at the Capital
Hello District 5710 Leadership and Club Presidents,
I'm writing to let you know about a very exciting event...with a very quick turnaround!
Thanks to the work of Olathe Rotarian Bill Musgrave, and with the assistance of Senator (and Past Rotary Club President) Usha Reddi and Representative (and Rotary Club President) Stephanie Sawyer Clayton, we'll be receiving an official legislative resolution honoring Rotary's efforts locally and across the globe on Monday, April 3, 2023 in both chambers. The House session will convene at 10:00am, and the Senate at 2:30pm.
I know it's short notice, but we'd love to have as many of you who can join attend! If you're able, I need you to let me know by noon tomorrow, so we can make plans with the respective legislative offices.

May 6 Rotary Gather for Good
I want to remind you that our upcoming Gathering for GoodRotary Foundation Fund Raiser will be here soon. It will be at Maceli’s Catering Venue (1031 New Hampshire Street; Lawrence, Kansas) on Saturday, May 6, 2023 (5 to 9 pm) As you are aware, the funds raised at The Gathering are all to support The Rotary Foundation.
During the event, we will be holding a silent auction as well as a live auction.
This is where your club can play a great role. We would love to have each of our 41 clubs donate to our silent auction by putting together a basket of specialty items with a local focus (such as from your local businesses/shops) Please confirm with me at chuckudell@msn.com or phone/text me at 913-908-3672 that your club will be donating a basket or item for the silent auction.
Many thanks to each club who will be donating a basket for our Silent Auction...we so appreciate your support! Please remember all proceeds from our silent and live auctions will be donated to the Rotary International Foundation.
