A Message from Anita
Hello Downtown Rotary Members,
What an honor to come before you as your 2011-12 president. This is a club held with high regard in the community, and I am humbled to assume leadership of such an outstanding organization.
As I said in my presentation at my first meeting, truly I stand on the shoulders of the amazing leaders who have come before me! I respect and honor what these past presidents have done, and I seek their guidance.
One of my goals is to be sure that our club is meeting your needs; we want
you to feel the pride and excitement of Rotary membership.
It is a pleasure to work with Board members who shows that they indeed have a passion and respect for what Rotary stands for. They are writing goals for the year based on challenges put before us. You will be hearing their plans, as I ask the board to share with you some exciting things being planned.
We are indeed fortunate with the leadership of our District Governor John Vandewalle! In his second term as District Governor, he is motivating us to accept new challenges and reach to new heights with Rotary International.
I want to once again encouraging each of you to attend the
free seminar right here at Washburn University this Saturday put on by the District: the Foundation, Membership and Leadership Seminar. You will leave the seminar inspired and ready for this great new Rotary year!
