VENTURE ROTARIANS

Welcome to the Venture Rotarians!

We are a subgroup of The Downtown Topeka Rotary Club established for young professionals. It is designed for people who have a schedule that limits their flexibility for weekly meetings.

We meet to discuss the needs of our community and how we can full fill them. We enjoy service projects and providing leadership opportunities.

CURRENT SERVICE PROJECTS

Current Service Projects

Walking for Water: A worldwide campaign that raises awareness and fundraising initiatives for children. We partner with USD  501 to provide education about world water challenges that youth face in the developing countries every day. Our students will be asking for sponsorships from friends and family to encourage them to walk a 5k with 6 liters of water.

Sole Mates: Is a project that Partners with USD 501, Payless Shoe Source and Ventures to provide students the opportunity to earn a new pair of shoes. We ask the students to volunteer their time to their school or community for 100 minutes, after completion they are awarded a pass to Payless Shoe Source and pair up with a Venture member to shop for a new pair of shoes.

The Book Project: The Ventures team provides books to the children of the Hope Center with personalized inspiring messages.
Project Senior Pictures: The Venture team partners with Highland Park High School to give the students an opportunity to participate in the Senior Picture experience. An experience we consider to be a right of passage for all seniors.

Running Free: The Venture team supported the marathon runners in the Running Free program at the Womens Correctional Facility. We hosted a dinner the night before the marathon and made inspiring posters to encourage the runners during their race.
